Very powerful, Valéry. Sorrowful but necessary. Thousands of pages of pretty fine American fiction wear it as a dustjacket.

Your question reminds me, Valéry, of the "saying" that we have like this in English, "600 monkeys tied to typewriters would eventually produce Hamlet." It's thrilling to consider that I could have produced a comment responding to any unimaginary object, and so near in space. How could I say you were wrong, to produce such a compliment?

I see what you mean, but as regards the Soho picture, I would change one word in my comment, from fiction to "non-fiction."

About monkeys I'll tell you a "secret", Laurent.
Under the tree, on the right, rests a monkey (a real one, not metaphorically).
And in this case, precisely, it is a non- fiction.

Haunt a landscape
"A mes debuts". C'est une photo magique et par bonheur il y a un negatif. Pouvoir retrouver le passé...l'argentique est le futur de la photographie, pas son passé.

C'est exactement ça.
En tous cas c'est comme ça que j'envisage la photographie. Toutes les photographies en noir et blanc, sans exception, sur ce blog, ont un négatif.
Cela forme un tout.
C'est autant de bonheur en positif.
Tu sais ce que cela signifie, cet écho du temps.
L'image qui se révèle, il faut le voir une fois dans sa vie, non ?
Un chanteur avait dit dans une interview : "ça serait bien qu'on se prolonge", j'ai trouvé cette phrase très jolie.
Merci à toi, très sincèrement, d'y être sensible.
Et que vive la Photographie !
